We did it.
I, You, We, He, She, together we changed the world.
I am so proud to be an American again...more so than I have felt in 8 years. I apologize to those people who are reading this that I might offend with that statement. I'm sorry. I am just so glad that we are moving in a new direction!
And I found these...which set the History Major / Political Sci Major part of my brain into overdrive:

Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is my distinct pleasure to present Barack H. Obama. The 44th President-elect of the United States of America.

May God Bless the United States of America!

Use the first letter of your first name to answer each of the following. They have to be real places, names, things -- nothing made up. Use different answers if the person in front of you had the same first initial which by the way is hard if you already have read their answers! You cannot use your own name for the boy/girl names.
1. What is your name? Fran
2. A 4 letter word: Food
3. A vehicle: Ford Focus
4. A city: Fort Benning
5. A boy's name: Felix
6. A girl's name: Felicia
7. Alcoholic drink: Frangelico
8. An occupation: Fireman
9. Something you wear: Fedora
10. A celebrity: Freddie Prinze Jr.
11. A food: "FunYuns"
12. Something found in a bathroom: Faucet
13. Reason for being late: Fire!
14. Something you shout: F*#@$ Off !
15. An animal: Fox
16. A body part: Face
17. Word to describe yourself: Foolish

If you are a member of a Party, get out and vote!
You have till 9 P.M. here in NY State. Don't complain later about the people in government if you did nothing about putting them there in the first place. You can't later say "I never wanted so and so in there..." if you didn't vote.
Exercise your right to vote.

Saw this. The video is long, but pieces of this thing in action is amazing.
I wonder if it can be pintle-mounted?
Actor Heath ledger has been found dead in his NYC apartment.

His star would probably have been on the rise thanks to The Dark Knight. I suppose that they will dedicate the film to him.
This is very sad.

You know what I would like to see? The old process of the runner up to the presidential election becoming the VP. Given the field as it stands now, that would make for an interesting Executive Branch.
Under the original terms of the Constitution, the members of the U.S. Electoral College voted only for office of president rather than for both president and vice president. Each elector was allowed to vote for two people for the top office. The person receiving the greatest number of votes (provided that such a number was a majority of electors) would be president, while the individual who received the next largest number of votes became vice president.
